New luxury watch stolen in Cannes : Yves Bissouma targeted
On the Côte d’Azur, and more specifically in Cannes, there has been another incident of luxury watch theft. On Saturday night, professional footballer Yves Bissouma and his girlfriend were returning to the Hotel Le Majestic on the Croisette when their Richard Mille watch, valued at 300,000 euros, was stolen. The driver had just dropped them off in front of the hotel entrance.
According to a police source, the perpetrators of the theft were clearly well organised. An investigation has been opened by the local Cannes criminal investigation department, but finding the perpetrators looks complicated. Two individuals waited for the celebrity to arrive near the luxury hotel at around 4am to steal his luxury watch.
The assailants sprayed Yves Bissouma and his partner with tear gas before stealing the footballer’s watch and three of his partner’s diamond rings. This watch theft is one of a series of similar incidents on the Côte d’Azur, with around thirty luxury watches stolen each year on the Côte d’Azur coastline.
