Hauts-de-Seine : a man is threatened for his €30,000 Rolex
In the Hauts-de-Seine town of Suresnes, another luxury watch has been stolen. Shortly before 1.30pm, two assailants wearing balaclavas entered Actual Vision, an optical store located on rue des Bourets, a pedestrian shopping area in the town center. Armed with a knife, they threatened and punched one person in the face before stealing his Rolex watch, valued at around 30,000 euros, and fleeing.
The victim, shocked and with minor facial injuries, had to be taken to the nearby Foch hospital.
This type of theft is not isolated to the western suburbs of Paris. In December 2021, the Nanterre court sentenced six young people, aged between 19 and 20, for their involvement in a series of particularly violent robberies that took place between September and November 2020, notably in Neuilly. These individuals, who boasted of their misdeeds in rap videos, received sentences ranging from three to six years’ imprisonment.
